Strata location plans & billing

ParqZen charges per parking location (each address you register). Plans are Base (free), Minimal, Monitor, and Towing. Your organization receives one invoice per billing run with one line per location (for example: 6262 Rexford — Monitor — $50).

Billing periods (org signup date)

  • When you activate billing, we set a billing anchor on your organization (your signup anniversary, UTC).
  • Each period is one month from that anchor (same day-of-month each cycle; month-end dates are handled safely).
  • Recurring charges are the full period amount per paid location — not prorated.
  • We invoice recurring charges 7 days before each new period starts so service is paid before the period begins.

Signup, new locations, upgrades, downgrades

Signup / activate billing: add a payment method (card with 3D Secure, US ACH, or Canadian PAD), then pay the first full period immediately. That sets your billing anchor.

New paid location mid-period: we prorate from today through the end of your current org period and charge immediately.

Upgrade on an existing location: the higher tier applies immediately; we charge a prorated difference for the rest of the current org period.

Downgrade: scheduled for the start of your next org period only (no mid-period refund). Until then, the current tier stays in effect.

Tax and payment issues

Sales tax is calculated by ParqZen from your billing country and address, then added as an explicit line on your invoice before payment is processed through Stripe. Stripe does not calculate tax. If a card payment is disputed or a bank debit is returned, we may suspend service until the balance is recovered on a future invoice.

One free (Base) plan per organization

Only one active location per organization may use the Base (free) plan. Additional addresses need a paid tier unless you upgrade or remove the free location first.

In the strata web app → Billing, activate billing, manage your payment method, and view invoices. Per-location tiers are set under each property’s Location plan tab.
